Haiku
Impact
Tiny leaf falls on
The pond, softly, unnoticed
Until the ripples.
Blindness
The trees cower in
Fear of the thunder and so
Miss the lightning bolt.
Fate
Lone dandelion
Sways in a grass field, waiting for
New birth--or plucking.
Wisdom
Eagle lands on branch,
Surveys his territory--
But height blurs detail.
Courage
Braving the thunder,
The blossom boldly opens,
Exposing its heart.
Extrapolation
Drops fall from the sky
And make tiny pond ripples
That joined become large.
Leadership
Courageous green shoot
Pushes aside the soil,
First to face the new day.
Oblivion
Ferocious rain pounds
On weak flower petals, blind
To devastation.
Little Moment
Rain cascades down leaf
Veins in small rivers of pure
Transparency-joy.
Birth
Cloud burst--shimmering
Spectacle of blue stardust;
Creation begins.
